Pakt One Sustainable travel bag

Hello again responsible travel lovers. Imagine buying a bag that the designer is so confident with its quality that they give you a lifetime guarantee! Follow along as I take you through Pakt One Sustainable Travel Bag that packs like a suitcase with the insides very well thought.

If you’re new to sustainable travel, you can read What is Sustainable Travel and How to be a Responsible Tourist

Disclosure: This post is part of a collaboration with Paktbags. The opinion expressed here are my own and I will never recommend a product that I haven’t genuinely loved because I am discouraging overconsumption and encouraging conscious consumerism.

Let’s Begin with packaging.

Do you also get turned off by plastic packaging? Since beginning this sustainable lifestyle journey, one of the things that puts me off any brand is plastic packaging so I was pleased to know that Pakt One bag came in zero plastic packaging.

Their plastic-free packaging is designed in collaboration with Seahive who help companies develop sustainable packaging with the aim of keeping plastic out of the ocean.

What is the material and Who made it?

The grey bag is made of coated polyester canvas exterior and metal hardware with a refined patina finish. They are made in Vietnam where the company has regular quality control checks to ensure the workers are treated fairly.

“When we visited the factory where the Pakt One was to be constructed back in December, it was absolutely essential for us to confirm with our own eyes that all employees are treated fairly, compensated properly, and work under safe conditions – Pakt team.

What I love about the Pakt one bag

I love the fact that it’s approved for cary-on in majority of airlines because of it’s dimensions. It’s Length 20″ (50.8cm) x Width 10″ (25.4cm) x Height 11″ (27.9cm). It was so convenient for me to reach whatever I needed in any pocket. You will also love the TSA staging pocket (see video below)

Because I am a minimalist (with a fashion sense), I appreciate and love the bag’s fashionable design glossed with a quaint look of minimalistic touch.

What’s the downside?

I’ve used the bag a few times and I can say I love everything about it except I wish it was a backpack. This bag can seriously pack so much and if you’re not careful, you might end up carrying a heavy load on one shoulder. If this isn’t your type of bag and if you pack heavily, I suggest you have a look at The Pakt backpack.

  1. I really liked the way you have pointed both the sides. Sustainable Packaging Reduces Use Of Resources
It can reduce solid waste, water usage, electricity and emissions. Though there is a negative view on flexible plastic packaging by those who are not fully aware of packaging product lifecycles, plastics have the upper hand on reducing carbon footprint.

  2. I’ve been looking for an all in one bag that’s super friendly for the environment. This looks super convenient and useful especially for my long trips back home abroad!

  3. This looks like a great bag! I like that it looks pretty compact but still holds a lot inside. My husband does a lot of trips with work and I bet something like this would be great for him.
